What we are looking for

PacWest is looking for an operations manager to run its flagship branch in Portland, Oregon. The branch operations manager leads a team of moving and packing specialists. Their primary goal is to fulfill customer appointments with the highest level of service quality possible. To be successful at this position you must be mature, reliable, and have a strong work ethic. You must have a "can-do" attitude and be capable of handling the rigors of managing a large team.

Management Team

  • Alternate between Mon - Fri and Tue - Sat every other week

Here is what you must have
  • At least 3 years residential and/or commercial moving experience
  • At least 2 years experience driving large box trucks
  • At least 2 years warehouse experience
  • Clean driving record last 3 years
  • Reliable personal transportation
  • Valid driver license and SS#
  • Bank account (to receive direct deposit pay)
It would be great if you had this
  • Good Spanish-speaking skills
  • Supply chain experience
  • Valid commercial drivers license (CDL)
You will be working on things like this

Staff Management

  • Lead the daily operations of a branch location
  • Manage mover work schedules (days on/off)
  • Assign movers to appointments
  • Liaise between HR and branch staff
  • Foster a supportive and pro-employee company culture

Training & Development

  • Onboard new drivers and movers
  • Deliver training for standard safety and operating procedures
  • Deliver training on service-specific procedures and equipment (residential and commercial packing techniques, using heavy-item equipment, local deliveries)
  • Train and support movers on company-issued technologies and mobile apps

Fleet & Warehouse Management

  • Manage truck inspection and maintenance schedules
  • Ensure trucks are clean, equipped, and job-ready
  • Manage equipment and moving supplies inventory

Risk Management & Compliance

  • Ensure movers comply with standard safety and operating procedures
  • Ensure branch complies with DOT regulations

Branch Performance

  • Accountable for service-quality goals
  • Consistently earn 5-star customer reviews
  • Prepare and submit branch-level reports

  • Must pass a background check and drug screening (excludes cannabis)
  • This is a full-time salaried position (5 days/week, 40 hours)
  • You must be fluent in English
  • You must live with 15 miles of a PacWest local branch
